Lupins are ubiquitous in Newfoundland, and their colours vary from soft pink to solid purple. While considered highly invasive species, they still bloom only for a short time, and stay unseen for the rest of the calendar year. Working on this print, I wanted to welcome them to find a place in our homes for a full year-round, because they are so lovely and vibrant! I tried many hues and their combination (some are still drying out), and even if there is some consistency, each print will be slightly different (within one colour).
Lino print characteristics:
• Image Size (30,48 x 30,48 cm / 12x 12 inches) and comes to a full size of 14×14 inches
- Hand-carved and hand-printed on Strathmore recycled drawing paper (130gsm) or mixed media paper (160 gsm), using Caligo Safewash inks, a glass baren, and a wooden spoon. Paper colour is either natural or cold white.
- Entirely handmade in Canada, NL
- Linocut print available in various gradient colours, which include pink, blue, orange and lilac shades. When ordering, please contact me for a desired shade first; otherwise, a randomly chosen print will be shipped.
- Ready to be framed
- Certified and authenticated in a varied limited edition of 20
- Due to the nature of linocut printing, each print is unique and may be slightly different from others. There may be some imperfections or small underprinted areas.
- Sold unmounted and unframed
