Time before, I left this bird mostly unnoticed, seeing it every day, along with sparrows and crows. But while drawing, I was enchanted by its iridescent neck plumage, which can be seen in only a few species, such as a hummingbird or mallard.
The painting was created for the ‘Birdtober 2024’ art challenge.
