I called this series ‘Whispered Woods’, where I explore the quiet presence of life within the forest — moments that often go unseen but are deeply felt. Each piece captures an animal at rest within its own world of shelter and stillness: the fox beneath ash leaves, the badger in pine needles, the hare among maple, the squirrel in oak.
Through linocut, I work with the rhythm of carving and ink to express balance — the pause between movement and silence. The series is a meditation on the small sanctuaries nature creates, and the calm that lingers there when everything simply rests.
This is a fourth print from a series, “Soft Needles.” In it, I wanted to show the calm weight of rest — a badger resting among pine needles, wrapped in their quiet texture. It’s a piece about stillness held in the gentlest light.
This is an unlimited edition, each pulled by hand and signed. Because every print is made individually, slight variations occur, giving each one its own character and presence. The print comes in Black (Caligo Safewash oil-based water ink) or Golden colours (water-based Speedball ink).
