Description
Fairy Thimbles is inspired by the foxgloves I first discovered while walking along Manuels River in CBS. Their tall stems and delicate bell-shaped blossoms have long been woven into folklore, earning a variety of names and becoming symbols of mystery, magic, and the quiet beauty of Newfoundland’s wild landscapes.
Created using the reduction printmaking method, each colour was printed from the same block, carved away in stages. As a result of this process, the linoleum piece is gradually destroyed, making the edition truly limited.
