Description

The Wild Garden is a hand-pulled reduction linocut inspired by a small, untamed corner of my own backyard. Dandelions, delicate columbines, and layers of greenery come together in a celebration of the quiet abundance found in everyday places. With its dense, organic composition and subtle sense of movement, the print captures a little piece of summer growing freely and beautifully.

The series of prints was created using the reduction printmaking method; each colour was printed from the same block, carved away in stages. As a result of this process, the linoleum piece is gradually destroyed, making the edition truly limited.

Editions of 20 prints, plus 2 Artist Proofs, which comes to 22 prints in total; 17 colored layers.
The size of the image itself is 8 x 10 inches, comes to 12 x 14 inches with a border.

Characteristics:
– Hand-carved and hand-printed on archival cotton paper, using Caligo Safewash inks, a glass baren, and a wooden spoon.
– Entirely handmade in Canada, NL
– Prints come numbered, signed and matted to 12 x 16 or 13 x 16 inches.
– Due to the handmade nature, the prints are subject to slight variations in ink coverage.
– Every print will be packed in a transparent plastic sleeve with a sturdy backboard for safe shipping
– A certificate of authenticity is included.
