This is a third print from a series. With Quiet Maple, I aimed to express balance — the hare’s alert calm among maple leaves, suspended between awareness and stillness in the soft light of the forest.

In the ‘Whispered Woods’ series, I explore the quiet presence of life within the forest — moments that often go unseen but are deeply felt. Each piece captures an animal at rest within its own world of shelter and stillness: the fox beneath ash leaves, the badger in pine needles, the hare among maple, the squirrel in oak.

Through linocut, I work with the rhythm of carving and ink to express balance — the pause between movement and silence. The series is a meditation on the small sanctuaries nature creates, and the calm that lingers there when everything simply rests.

Characteristics:
– Hand-carved and hand-printed on archival cotton paper, using oil-based Caligo Safewash inks, a glass baren, and a wooden spoon. Gold colour print is made using water-based Speedball ink.
– Every print comes in several colours.
