This is a second print from a series, “Hidden Acorn.” It reflects the small pause between motion and rest — a squirrel among oak and acorn, holding stillness in the heart of abundance.

I called this series ‘Whispered Woods’, where I explore the quiet presence of life within the forest — moments that often go unseen but are deeply felt. Each piece captures an animal at rest within its own world of shelter and stillness: the fox beneath ash leaves, the badger in pine needles, the hare among maple, the squirrel in oak.

Through linocut, I work with the rhythm of carving and ink to express balance — the pause between movement and silence. The series is a meditation on the small sanctuaries nature creates, and the calm that lingers there when everything simply rests.

Characteristics:
– Hand-carved and hand-printed on archival cotton paper, using oil-based Caligo Safewash/ water-based Speedball inks, a glass baren, and a wooden spoon.
– Every print comes in several colours. Golden colour print is made with water-based Speedball ink.
– Entirely handmade in Canada, NL
– Prints come signed and include the certificate of authenticity
