This piece is an original, handcrafted linocut print. It has been printed from a hand-cut linocut block on Japanese washi paper, using a glass baren and quality Caligo oil-based ink for the print longevity.
Island Watcher shows a quiet character who feels like he belongs to the place itself. Puffins often stand still on coastal cliffs, taking in their surroundings, and here Island Watcher becomes a small guardian of the rock, keeping watch over everything around him: the shoreline, the water, and other birds coming and going.
